Highland Integrated Electricity Services Limited (HIESL) congratulates Engr. Sédiko Douka on his appointment as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Jos Electricity Distribution Plc (JED Plc), effective 13th October 2025.

HIESL, the core investor and majority shareholder in JED Plc, recognizes this leadership transition as a significant step toward advancing the company’s operational excellence and strategic growth in Nigeria’s power sector.

Engr. Douka brings over 35 years of distinguished experience in energy, infrastructure, and policy development. Prior to his appointment, he served as the ECOWAS Commissioner for Infrastructure, Energy, Mines, Water Resources, Digitalization, and Postal Services, where he made notable contributions to regional energy integration and infrastructure advancement across West Africa.

As part of its oversight and investment role, HIESL remains committed to supporting the new leadership of JED Plc in achieving improved service delivery, enhanced operational efficiency, and sustainable value creation for all stakeholders.
